Most small repairs can be done while you wait.  Small miscellaneous repairs are charged at the hourly rate of $40.00 per hour.

All Student line flutes and clarinets are repadded using premium Valentino pads.  Valentino pads are slightly more expensive than fish skin pads but they seal well and last a very long time.

Disassembly and cleaning of the instrument.
Body is checked
for proper alignment.
Major and minor dent work.
Play removed from keys and rods.
All springs replaced with premium
stainless steel springs that do not rust.
All new pads and resonators of the customers choice.

Vintage Cork Grease

Basic overhaul process  $800.00 for S, A,  T   Bari by quote.
 
Disassembly and careful cleaning of the instrument.
Body is checked for proper alignment and straightened if necessary.
Minor dent work.
All keys are swedged to remove lateral play.
Excessive wear removed from post to hinge rod.Pads cups checked on jeweler's anvil for proper alignment.
All new pads (your choice of pad type and resonator type)Key corks, felts and neck cork replaced with premium corks and felts.
When needed, springs are replaced with premium stainless steel springs that do not rust.
Regulated to customers specifications.
Instrument is set aside to allow the pads to settle in.
Final adjustment
Horn is wiped down, oiled and play tested.

Vintage Luellen Plastic Reed Card

Basic Repad    $400.00  S, A, T, bari by quote

Disassembly and cleaning of instrument.
Old pads are removed, pad cups are measured and your choice of pads and resonators are ordered.
Keys are leveled and straightened.
Pads are replaced using hot silicon glue or superior quality shellac.
Springs are adjusted.
Friction points coated with teflon for smooth, quiet action.
Instrument is set aside to allow pads to settle in.
Final adjustment and regulation to customers specifications
Horn is wiped down, oiled and play tested.


Both octave key pads on all saxophones will be replaced with cork pads or Valentino pads.  As the Valentino pads are white you may choose to have them done in cork for strictly aesthetic reasons.
